Don Bosco Namugongo Hosts PDO Delegation to Strengthen Collaboration

Kampala, Uganda – 17 November 2025: A four-member delegation from the Salesian Planning and Development Office (PDO) officially started  an eight-day visitation mission to all Salesian communities in Uganda. The purpose of this initiative is to assess ongoing activities, enhance collaboration with community leaders, and establish sustainable development strategies focusing on youth empowerment.

To kick off the mission, the PDO team visited the Don Bosco Namugongo community, where they were welcomed by the community leader, Fr. Shauri Pascal.

Discussions centered on the major activities that define the community’s mission, including Nursery education, Primary school , Secondary school and Farming and livestock production.

Fr. Shauri Pascal reported a significant increase in student enrollment, with the school currently hosting 225 girls and 255 boys, totaling 480 students. He also highlighted steady improvements in agricultural and livestock production, while noting that several important youth-centered projects are still pending due to limited resources.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Dusabimana Felicien expressed appreciation for the progress made at Don Bosco Namugongo, emphasizing that this eight-day mission will play a crucial role in strengthening collaboration, boosting development initiatives, and refining support strategies for the communities’ long-term objectives.

The mission will continue on 19 November 2025 at the Don Bosco Palabek community, where further consultations on development priorities and youth-focused programs will take place.
