Don Bosco Muhazi Celebrates World Environment Day

On Tuesday, June 6th, 2023, as part of the annual celebration of World Environment Day on June 5th, the Don Bosco Muhazi #Green Club, also known as ‘Friends of Nature’, participated in celebratory activities that began at 8:30 AM.

The event attracted members of the green club, students, and the educational community. The focus was on protecting the environment. Planned activities included repairing dustbins, separating biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste, watering trees and flowers, collecting plastics in and around the school, general cleaning, visiting Lake Muhazi, and observing bird nests.

After all the activities, participants discussed the importance of keeping the environment clean and green. Don Bosco Muhazi TVET School is located in Rural Gikomero Sector of Gasabo District.

The School offers technical and vocational training to vulnerable young people from poor families.
