Clean Water Flows at Don Bosco Hospitality Center Kigali Following Completion of Vital Water Project

KIGALI (GATENGA) — A major infrastructural milestone has been reached at the Don Bosco Hospitality Center in Kigali (Gatenga) with the successful completion of its comprehensive water installation project. Aimed at enhancing the local water supply and improving overall sanitation, the newly operational system guarantees reliable water access for the center’s daily visitors and students.

To ensure optimal water distribution, two large water tanks—boasting capacities of 10,000 liters—have been successfully installed across the upper and lower areas of the facility. The construction process required extensive site preparations, including the construction of elevated metal stands for the tanks and the digging of a dedicated trench channel to route water directly from the source to the distribution site.

With a robust daily capacity of 150 cubic meters, the new system is designed to serve 500 people every day. The impact of this project goes far beyond basic utility. Approximately 500 individuals will directly benefit from the upgraded sanitation services, which are expected to significantly improve public health and hygiene conditions at the center.

Furthermore, the installation provides crucial support for local education. Students enrolled in the center’s culinary programs will greatly benefit from the consistent water access, which is an essential requirement for their hands-on training and daily practice.
