Annual Gathering of the PDO Staff Focuses on Sustainability and Unity amid Economic Challenges

KIGALI, Rwanda — The Salesian Planning and Development Office (PDO) held an annual gathering at the Don Bosco Muhazi Recreation Centre, bringing together all staff members for a critical review of the past year and strategic planning for the future.

The event emphasized communal spirit, operational achievements, and the navigation of ongoing global economic hurdles.

During the meeting, Father Servilien Ufitamahoro, the PDO Director provided a comprehensive reflection on the year’s performance, highlighting both significant achievements and areas for improvement.

Discussions also covered the responsibilities of the PDO Team and the integration of new staff members into the existing team.

A significant point of discussion focused on the difficulties encountered in fund collection, largely attributed to the current global economic crisis.

Despite these financial constraints, the PDO team remains committed to fostering “real sustainability” through various development projects.

The Meeting includes also the Holy mass celebrated by Father Servilien Ufitamahoro accompanied with chants by all staff.

The meeting concluded with a call for unified action among all staff and commendations for the strong social spirit and unity within the team.

The gathering served as a platform to exchange “good ideas” and ensure continued progress towards the office’s mission, even as they navigate limited resources and look toward future projects, such as a new PDO office.
