New Don Bosco Green Park Chapel Opens Its Doors, thanks to the New Rochelle Support

KIGALI — This month, Father Ngendakuriyo Gabriel, the Provincial Superior of AGL, officially blessed the brand new Don Bosco Green Park Chapel. This beautiful new sanctuary is now officially open and ready to welcome the local community, Christians, and religious travelers for worship and reflection.

The new chapel was purposefully constructed to prioritize functionality, comfort, and accessibility. With the capacity to comfortably accommodate up to 150 visitors, this spacious sanctuary is perfectly suited for a growing community.

To ensure a truly peaceful and welcoming aesthetic, the chapel features excellent seating arrangements, high-quality acoustics, and bright lighting. Crucially, the design prioritized inclusivity, ensuring the space is fully accessible to all, including elderly visitors and those with disabilities. The core purpose of the new Don Bosco Green Park Chapel is to offer a serene, dignified environment for both spiritual and personal development. It serves as a dedicated space for a wide variety of activities, including daily services, guided spiritual retreats, and meditation.

Beyond standard worship, the sanctuary is specifically structured to support the emotional and spiritual well-being of its visitors. With excellent ventilation and designated private areas, the new chapel offers an ideal, quiet setting for:

• Privately arranged fasting sessions
• Thanksgiving ceremonies and baptisms
• Personal counseling, wedding ceremony and other church services

By opening this new chapel, the Salesians of Don Bosco aim to foster unity and emotional support, providing a welcoming space for diverse groups to find peace and community.
