Enhancing Education at Don Bosco Muhazi: A Visit by Mr. Diego Willemot, ACTEC Projects Manager

From the 20th to the 21st of June, 2024, Mr. Diego Willemot, Project Manager – ACTEC NGO, paid a visit to the Don Bosco Muhazi TVET school with a packed agenda.

The purpose of the visit was to assess the results of the ACTEC Project at Don Bosco Muhazi, reflect on and draft semester reports including narrative and financial reports, create an Action Plan for the year 2024, discuss project planning and implementation, evaluate the use of the computer lab in terms of target audiences, formations, and skills acquired, discuss an Entrepreneurial pedagogy, meet with key staff members, and discuss the new proposed methodology focusing on Social Return on Investment (SROI).

The ACTEC project aims to enhance the quality of education provided at Don Bosco Muhazi through various educational programs.

At the conclusion of his visit, Mr. Diego was treated to a cultural dance performance and presented with a shirt gift sewn by the Tailoring students.

Father Raymond Bavumiragiye, Provincial Vicar of the Salesians of Don Bosco in the Africa of the Great Lakes Province (Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda) and Director of Don Bosco Muhazi, accompanied Mr. Diego during the visit along with the PDO Project Officer and Finance Officer.
