Don Bosco Tech Africa Hosts Training for TVET Managers on ISO 9001 Standards in Kigali
Kigali, Rwanda – Don Bosco Tech Africa is hosting a key training session from October 13th to 17th, 2025, at the Don Bosco Hospitality Centre in Kigali. The training focuses on equipping TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) managers with skills in implementing Quality Management Systems based on ISO 9001 standards.
Organized by Don Bosco Tech Africa, this training aims to promote the adoption of international quality standards within Rwanda’s TVET institutions. Participants include TVET managers, representatives from the private sector, civil society, and government agencies, all working together toward improving the quality and effectiveness of vocational education.

Jean Nepomuscene Nshimyimana, Project Officer from Don Bosco Tech Africa, explained the initiative: “We are conducting this training to develop a framework for quality management that can be scaled up to the national government level and down to individual institutions. Our goal is to foster a culture of continuous improvement and high standards across Rwanda’s TVET sector.”
This session builds on previous basic quality training and marks the second phase of Don Bosco Tech Africa’s efforts to enhance the quality and professionalism of technical education. By empowering TVET managers with knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, Don Bosco Tech Africa hopes to influence both institutional practices and national policy—ultimately leading to better training outcomes and increased satisfaction for learners and employers alike.
Don Bosco Tech Africa remains committed to collaborating with stakeholders to develop sustainable, high-quality vocational education systems across Africa.
