16 Children at Don Bosco Ngozi Receive School Supplies and Full-Year Tuition Support
In a significant step toward promoting quality education and supporting children from underprivileged families, 16 children at Don Bosco Ngozi in Burundi have received school supplies, hygiene kits, and full-year tuition coverage.
This support is provided through Missioni Don Bosco and aims to give disadvantaged children equal opportunities to learn and build a brighter future. The Sponsorship Program, launched in 2023, operates across the Africa of Great Lakes (AGL) in three countries: Rwanda, Burundi, and Uganda.
Father NDAYIKENGURUTSE Jean Paul, Director of Don Bosco Ngozi, praised the initiative, describing it as a meaningful act that demonstrates love and humanity, giving children hope for a better life. He noted that the program helps children pursue their studies without fear of financial hardship and inspires them to succeed and set goals for their future.
Igiraneza Neree Carole, one of the supported children, shared her gratitude: “I am very happy for the school supplies and the support for my studies. This will help me perform well in my lessons and achieve my dreams.”
The Sponsorship Program continues to assist many children across the Africa of Great Lakes, promoting children’s rights, quality education, and overall well-being. It highlights the crucial role of the Don Bosco Salesians in protecting children and helping them grow intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
