Celebrating the feast of Don Bosco in the Scolasticat Don Bosco Kabgayi
Every year on January 31, the Salesian community celebrates the feast day of St. John Bosco, the father and friend of the youth.
On this Tuesday, January 31, 2023, in the house of the Salesians located in Muhanga in the sector of Shyogwe, in the house of the Salesians scholasticat don bosco kabgayi, was a celebrate the feast of St. John Bosco which was started by a holy mass led by the high priest of the grand seminary.
In this event, the 12 Salesian cooperators repeated their agreement.
The event was attended by Father Bavumiragiye Raymond, Vicar of the Salesian Province of the Great Lakes of Africa, AGL, Father Vedaste KAYISABE, Rector of Kabgayi Seminary, Nuns of St. Joseph, salesian cooperators, ADMA, Friends of Don Bosco, Animators, and Christians. The prayer took place in the chapel of Mary Help of Christians.
Father Bavumiragiye Raymond, Vicar of the Salesian Province of the Great Lakes of Africa, AGL, in his speech wished to all a happy feast day of the founder of the Salesian family, Don Bosco, and urged them to follow his legacy in these words: “This year the rector major is calling us to work together as a family, in order to deliver the good message Don Bosco left us to be a good leaven”. He continued by telling them that being a saint requires doing good and doing what we are responsible for.
The young people from the oratory scholasticat don bosco kabgayi celebrate as well this day through various games which ended by celebrating the holy mass led by Father Bashemizmana Thierry. The youth slogan were “welcome Don Bosco, we love you”
