UGANDA: DON BOSCO VTC Graduates with Start Up Tool Kits

Jugend Eine Welt through Planning and Development Office (PDO) supported 15 beneficiaries of solar scholarship program at Don Bosco VTC Bombo with startup tool kits to enhance their entry into the labour market.

This took place on 3RD February 2022 at Don Bosco VTC Bombo.

The scholarship program started in September 2019 at Don Bosco VTC Bombo and St. Joseph VTC Kamuli to support vulnerable youth to acquire skills in solar PV.

A total of 30 youth were supported to pursue a 2 year course in solar PV. (15 at Bombo and 15 at Kamuli)

Solar scholarship program was initiated by Jugend Eine Welt (JEW) with funding from Vita Activa Foundation.

Beneficiaries of solar scholarship program are grateful to our development partners JEW and Vita Activa Foundation for the financial and moral support that enabled them to acquire solar skills and this has transformed their living conditions.
