Jugend Eine Welt and Austrian Development Cooperation visit Solar Project in Uganda

Jugend Eine Welt and Austrian Development Cooperation visited Don Bosco TVET Centres in Uganda that are implementing Solar Skill Training and Environmental Education Program. The visit started on 22ND to 27TH November 2021.

The visit was graced by   Ms. Irmgard Neuherz and Ms. Christine Huber from JEW, Ms. Sylvia Hinger from ADA, Fr. Servilien Ufitamahoro PDO Director/ Economer-AGL Province, Br. John Njuguna Deputy Director DBTA, Ms. Filagot Tesfaye and Ms. Yemissirach Sisay from Ethiopian Women in Energy.

This is under the project titled Solar Skills Training and Environmental Education Programme initiated by Jugend Eine Welt (JEW) with funding from the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADA). The project is being implemented in three Don Bosco TVET centres in Uganda namely; St. Joseph Vocational Training Centre Kamuli, Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre Bombo and Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre Palabek. This is a four years project from 2019 to 2022.

 The overall objective of the project is vocational training and learning for sustainable development as a contribution to inclusive, equitable and quality education (SDG4) and reliable and sustainable energy for all (SDG7). Thanks to our development partners for the financial and moral support.
