Don Bosco Gatenga TVET school awarded the best students as the New Academic year officially launched

On Friday, November 11, 2022, the management of Don Bosco Gatenga TVET School officially launched the 2022-2023 Academic year.

It was an event that was preceded by an Eucharist Mass led by Father Frederic Murindangabo, the Director of Don Bosco Gatenga Community.

Father Murindagabo commended the students for their performance in the 2021-2022 academic year, wishing them a fruitful 2022-2023 Academic Year.

He asked them to study hard so that their future will be better and thus they can benefit themselves, their families and the country in general.

He also told them that it is good to take time to pray.

He said, “God is our father who helps us in our daily activities. When we obey God, we allow him to lead us to peace.”

After the mass, students with the highest grades in the 2021-2022 academic year were awarded prizes as a reward for their good work.

Don Bosco Gatenga TVET school has 7 trades: Masonry, plumbing, carpentry, welding, domestic electricity, industrial electricity and culinary arts. One student in each trade was awarded.

Father TURABANYE Jean Pierre, Director of DON BOSCO Gatenga TVET school told the students that the given prizes are not big but it is a sign that the management of the institution supports them.

He went on to say that in the coming years, the rewards will increase for those who work hard.

There was also a presentation of the Salesian students living in the Gatenga Community, those in Internship and those in the pre-novitiate.

Students were also presented with the teachers who will teach them in the academic year 2022-2023.
