SDB Economers of Africa Meet in Ashaiman, Ghana to Discuss Sustainable Stewardship

ASHAIMAN, Accra, Ghana – 21-26 September 2026 – The Regional Meeting of Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB) Economers of the Two African Regions took place in Ashaiman, Accra, Ghana.
The meeting that runs from September 21st to 26th brought together Economers from across the continent around the theme of Sustainable Stewardship: Strengthening Formation Houses and Financial Autonomy across African Region.
According to organizers, the meeting is a platform for sharing experiences and building stronger financial management systems for the congregation in Africa.
Among the key topics on the agenda are:
- Sharing best practices, good initiatives and challenges between economers,
- The Crucial Role and Current Reality of lay professionals within the congregation,
- Building Financial Independence – chance or choice.
The gathering is expected to come up with strategies to strengthen formation houses and enhance financial autonomy for sustainable mission in Africa.
