RWANDA – Priestly ordination of Deacon Jean Claude Uwizeyimana

On Sunday 9th July2023, the priestly ordination of Deacon Jean Claude UWIZEYIMANA, sdb, belonging to the Salesian province of Africa des Grands Lacs (AGL) took place.

He was ordained by Monseigneur Servilien Nzakamwita, bishop emeritus of Byumba.

The provincial superior, Father Pierre-Célestin Ngoboka, his council and numerous Salesian priests, diocesans and other congregations surrounded the bishop at the altar.

Also very numerous were the Salesian brothers, members of the Salesian Family,  collaborators, youth among many others.

Also present were the Mayor of the City of Kigali and other leaders.

The ceremony took place at IFAK football ground in Kimihurura.

It was masterfully animated by the Lux Mundi choir and the Saint John Paul II choir from the Paroisse Marie Auxiliatrice de Kimihurura.
