ProFuturo Opens Five-Day Training to Launch New Platform in Rwandan Schools

Kigali, Rwanda – The ProFuturo support team is currently conducting a comprehensive five-day face-to-face training session at the Don Bosco Hospitality Center in Kigali, which commenced on September 1st, 2025. The training is designed to empower coaches from three key organizations—Salesians of Don Bosco, World Vision, and UNHCR—in Rwanda to facilitate the transition to the new Global Installer and ProFuturo offline platform.

Amaya Villachica Murrieta, a member of the Support Team, shared her enthusiasm for the initiative. “We are happy to be here to conduct this training for all the coaches involved in our project in Rwanda. The new platform is a significant upgrade—it’s much better than the previous one and offers many new functionalities that will help us grow and adapt to modern educational needs,” she explained.

The training focuses on familiarizing participants with the platform’s installation process and its features, addressing the initial challenges of transition.

Villachica Murrieta added, “At first, change can be difficult for teachers, but they will love the new platform as much as we do.” She emphasized that, despite differences from the previous system, the new platform maintains core educational content while adding valuable new courses for teacher training. “The contents are similar, with materials for science, mathematics, language, and life skills, but now we also have courses for teacher training that can be accessed offline, which is a huge advantage,” she said.

The goal of the training is to ensure that teachers and school staff are well-equipped to utilize the platform effectively, ultimately enhancing educational outcomes across Rwanda. Villachica Murrieta expressed optimism about the impact of the new platform: “We have great coaches here in Rwanda, and with the new platform, I believe the usage and participation will increase significantly.”

As the training continues through the week, the support team remains committed to guiding educators through this transition, fostering more interactive and innovative learning environments for students across the country.
