Construction on the Community House has begun at the newly Created Salesian Presence in Burundi/Kagwema

Construction works of the Community House have finally begun at the newly established Salesian Presence in Burundi/Kagwema,

Once fully operationalized, Kagwema will be one of the communities of the Salesians of Don Bosco in the Africa of the Great Lakes.

The construction works are supported by the Rector Major through Mission Don  Bosco Turin.

The Kagwema was established to approach the needy population, to preach and support the living conditions while at the same time advocating for the education of the growing number of the young people with special needs.

Kagwema is a poverty-stricken area, there are not enough schools, no water, many people are fed up with traditional farming, and finding a place to pray also requires a long distance.

The establishment of this presence is therefore one of the ways to end the loneliness of the area.
