54 students graduated in Literacy skills at Don Bosco Muhazi TVET School

On June 27, 2024, a heartwarming event took place at the Don Bosco Muhazi TVET School. Fifty-four students, who had overcome numerous obstacles to complete basic courses, were awarded certificates that marked a significant milestone in their educational journey.

Thanks to the dedication and hard work of the Salesians of Don Bosco and the Sisters INSHUTI Z’ABAKENE (Friends of the Needy Persons), these students were able to pass the Literacy and Numeracy Test administered by the Gikomero Sector in Gasabo District.

The fact that each and every one of these students successfully passed the test is a testament to the quality of education they received at the school.

For many of these students, the opportunity to study at Don Bosco Muhazi TVET School was a lifeline. Coming from families with limited financial resources, they were unable to complete their primary school. However, through the basic courses offered at the school, they were able to learn essential skills such as reading, writing, and counting.

The courses offered at Don Bosco Muhazi TVET School open up a world of possibilities for these students. They can choose to pursue a career in either Culinary Arts, Masonry, or Tailoring.

By equipping them with practical skills, the school is not only helping them secure a better future for themselves but also empowering them to break free from the cycle of poverty.

With the support of compassionate educators and mentors, vulnerable youth are given the tools they need to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities. Don Bosco Muhazi TVET School is truly a beacon of hope for these students, guiding them towards a path of success and self-sufficiency.
