Empowering Youth through Skills Training: The ACTEC Project at Don Bosco Muhazi
Starting from July 8, 2024, a group of young individuals who have recently graduated from Don Bosco Muhazi TVET School, along with other youth and adults, are currently undergoing free training sessions.
These sessions are designed to equip them with the necessary skills to either kickstart their own businesses or enhance their competitiveness in the job market.
This training program is being offered as part of the ACTEC project, which is aimed at enhancing the educational opportunities at Don Bosco Muhazi, supporting underprivileged youth, and nurturing various talents among the youth.
It is the third time that this training has been conducted since the inception of the ACTEC project at Don Bosco Muhazi, focusing on areas such as Plumbing, Electricity, Bakery and Pastry, Welding, and ICT.
The participants have shown great enthusiasm and eagerness to acquire new knowledge and skills as the training continues.
The collaboration between ACTEC, a Belgian NGO, and the Salesians of Don Bosco has brought about significant improvements in the infrastructure, educational standards, and overall quality of life at Don Bosco Muhazi.
